We welcome children with additional needs. Our kindy commits funds for children with additional needs to be able to access our program. We have an Inclusion Assistant who is available on a needs basis. Please include details on your application form or contact us directly.

Ashgrove Memorial Kindergarten is pleased to provide an Aftercare program to its enrolled children for families that require additional hours outside of the core kindergarten program. Aftercare is not part of the Free Kindy program and therefore is invoiced directly to families. Bookings are available on both a permanent and casual basis, subject to availability.

Ashgrove Memorial Kindergarten is pleased to announce that we have officially ‘opted-in’ for FREE KINDY in 2026. This is great news for families. Kindy is a government-approved educational program delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher for 15 hours a week (or 600 hours a year).
Families wishing to access a second non-subsidised kindergarten program are requested to contact the kindy directly to discuss fees and enrolment eligibility.
The Queensland Government provides funding under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding (QKF)
To be eligible for QKF your child must be at least 4 years old by 30 June in the year they are enrolled. All eligible children are entitled to receive the QKF Standard Subsidy which will apply to one Kindergarten program.
Please note that consistent with the Public Health Act of 2005 (Qld), Ashgrove Memorial Kindergarten will accept enrolment but refuse attendance of children who are not up to date with their scheduled vaccinations.
