Securing a Place for Your Child
Children can participate in a kindergarten program in the year before they start Prep, at School. This means your child will be at least 4 years old by 30 June in the year they attend kindy.

Enrolment offers will begin in June of the
year prior to attending.
We welcome children with additional needs
Our kindy commits funds for children with additional needs to be able to access our program. We have an Inclusion Assistant who is available on a needs basis. Please include details on your application form or contact us directly.
Fees
Fees for 2022 are $45 per day
($1125 per term, 4 terms per year)
Additional Costs:
Association membership fee $5 per family per year.
Excursion Fee $45
Maintenance levy $150
(refunded if 2 maintenance rosters completed).
After Care:
$13 per/hr; $6.50 per 1/2-hr; minimum charge is $13
Subsidies:
The Queensland Government provides funding under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS)
To be eligible for QKFS your child must be at least 4 years old by 30 June in the year they are enrolled. All eligible children are entitled to receive the QKFS Standard Subsidy which will apply to one Kindergarten program.
You may also be eligible for QKFS Plus Kindy Support Subsidy:
- If you or child has a current Australian Government Health Care Card, Department of Veterans Affairs’ Gold Card or White Card or an Australian Government Pension Concession Card
- If you or child identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- If your family had a multiple birth of 3 or more kindergarten aged children
Government funding may be available to support children with a disability to access our kindergarten.
Fee relief may be considered by the Committee in events of financial hardship.

Please note that consistent with the Public Health Act of 2005 (Qld), Ashgrove Memorial Kindergarten
will accept enrolment but refuse attendance of children who are not up to date with their
scheduled vaccinations.
